Mindset
Nowadays, we all have access to the information we need to get in shape. For the most part, we also have the physical and mental capacity to be successful at health and fitness.
So what are all these challenges that hold us back so much?

The fact is, resources and ability alone are only enough to create potential. Without action, potential will always remain just potential. We must have the heart to invest the time and effort. We must have the desire enough to take that leap of faith to get in the fitness game and play to win.
The answer to the question above is fear. The challenges we have for the most part are just different forms of fear in disguise. Some of the obvious fears are:
- Fear of failure
- Fear of success
- Gym Fright
- Fear of the finish line
- Fear of structure
Fear is not as transparent when dealing with:
- Stress Fiend
- Selfish-Complex
- Perfection Procrastination

Stress Fiend – too busy to workout; living life one crisis at a time – but what are they trying to avoid by staying so busy? an even better question is what are they so afraid of?
Selfish Complex- feeling guilty about taking time for their own health – what fear could be lurking inside the tent here? the fear that if they spend time away they will lose the love that they give and/or receive?
Perfection Procrastination - on the side-lines stuck in the endless search for the perfect diet and workout routine – what fear is hiding behind the smoke screen here? avoiding trial and error maybe, sounds like someone is afraid of making a mistake? it could be any of the fears listed above, the more fears there are the thicker the smoke screen gets…I call this one the “one-thing-wrong-phenomenon“, the search for one-thing-wrong to find the excuse to abandon responsibility. The fact is, it’s only going to be perfect when you take action, start down the path and put some soul into it. Then it will develop into what you want as you grow. Nobody knows your body better than you do. If you are using your resources, abilities, and putting your heart into it, you can look yourself in the mirror and say your doing a perfect job.
Heart is what it takes.
